Bio

LaWanda Ward joined the law school in the summer of 2002. She oversees all activities related to the law school's Pro Bono Program, including developing and fostering relationships with public interest and not-for-profit agencies and pairing law students with various agencies in Indianapolis that provide legal services to those with limited means. She also counsels students with an interest in government and public service.

Prior to joining the Pro Bono Program, she was a university student services professional. She remains active within the student body and the legal community as a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association's Law Student Division Executive Committee, the Indianapolis Bar Association Public Sector Section, Indiana State Bar Association Diversity Commission, Indiana State Bar Pro Bono Commission and the Indianapolis Bar Association Pro Bono Standing Committee.
