Dean's Message

robertsbalconyDear Alumni and Friends:

The law school has completed another action-packed Spring semester.  We were privileged to have John S. Pistole, '81, Deputy Director of the FBI as our commencement speaker, and he also stayed for the IUAA's Evening of Celebration event where he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award and helped us to welcome the 2009 graduates into the alumni family!

I am now on the verge of leaving for several weeks of international travel to reconnect with alumni in Asia at the IUAA's meeting in Seoul, Korea and then on to China to meet with many of our LL.M. graduates and Chinese legal education partners at Renmin University.  I will then be visiting our LL.M. program in Cairo, Egypt to participate in our first commencement ceremony in the Middle East.

I wish each of you a wonderful and safe summer and hope to see you at an alumni event in the Fall at the law school, if I do not see you in Asia!

Sincerely,
Gary R. Roberts
Dean and Gerald L. Bepko Professor of Law
